Our logo, lovingly designed by Susie Day, one of our talented sewists, features Mouse—a blind, deaf, but lovable rescue dog adopted by our community. Mouse has become a symbol of the comfort, warmth, and care that we aim to deliver with each of our handcrafted products. The word “Anchor” signifies both our maritime roots and the sense of stability and grounding we hope our products provide.

For over 37 years, Elizabeth Fry New Brunswick has been breaking cycles of criminalization among women and gender-diverse individuals by addressing poverty, homelessness, mental health concerns, and gender-based violence. Inspired by her pioneering work 200 years ago—when she taught women in Newgate Prison to sew and sell their creations in London, her legacy lives today through our social enterprise, Anchored Mouse, creating products that are made with love and care to comfort those who purchase them.
